We’re looking for an Accounting Specialist who is able to provide accurate and timely financial information to support decision making within the organization. The Specialist will maintain financial records, prepare financial statements and support the accounting team in various ad-hoc tasks.
Accounting Specialist Duties:
- Keep financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, in proper order
- Ensure all reports are accurate, up to date and compliant with federal, state, and local regulations
- Record significant financial transactions and document transactions in financial records
- Develop and maintain computerized accounting systems
- Produce financial statements and reports, including cash flow, balance sheet, profit and loss, and income statement
- Produce reports, including inventory and cash flow
- Support accounting staff with clerical tasks
Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:
- Assist in weekly, monthly, and annual financial, marketing, public relations, and strategic planning activities
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting and reporting systems
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial and operational reports
- Assist in planning and executing budgets, inventories, and cash flow projections as needed
