Acupuncturist Duties:
- Perform acupuncture treatments for relief of a variety of medical conditions
- Practice and uphold Acupuncture Code of Ethics
- Establish and maintain professional, respectful, and friendly relationships with patients
- Identify and diagnose conditions, illnesses, and injuries
- Develop and execute treatment plans
- Seek out professional development opportunities
- Conduct research to identify new approaches and treatment modalities
- Advise patients on dietary, exercise, and lifestyle changes to make
- Assist patients in self-care
Acupuncturist Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up new clinic openings and investigating potential locations
- Maintain clinic management system including patient registration and scheduling
- Create and maintain Acupuncture Records
- Oversee office administration procedures related to insurance billing and coding
- Maintain clinic equipment and supplies
- Give regular treatments to office patients
- Conduct acupuncture skills assessments to prospective employees
- Attend monthly QI conferences
Requirements And Skills:
- Skilled in performing both Western herbs and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
- Possessing a license/certification from one of the following organizations:
- National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists (NCCAOM)
- American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine
