Analyst Job Description

An analyst is someone who studies financial markets and investments.

Analysts perform market research and call reports, as well as make predictions.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for an Analyst who will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, and providing recommendations to improve business operations. The Analyst will work closely with other departments within the company to ensure that all data is accurately captured and analyzed. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, and be able to work independently to identify problems and recommend solutions.

Analyst Duties:

• Analyze strategic business problems and develop recommendations
• Create and maintain advanced reports
• Establish and communicate sound project management practices
• Promote and facilitate teamwork among cross functional teams, vendors, and clients
• Understand client needs and expectations
• Utilize project management tools, processes, and standards
• Develop business cases, strategies, and plans
• Facilitate decision making
• Provide support to other support functions
• Maintain confidentiality

Analyst Responsibilities:

• Manages the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of a network of third-party providers
• Conducts due diligence on potential partners, including reviewing their financial, technical, and service capabilities; helps with the RFP process
• Performs automate data validation and verification checks
• Performs operational monitoring to deliver service level agreements, including troubleshooting when problems arise
• Performs system administration, including updating systems configurations, monitoring user access, and fixing issues
• Manages end user training

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering, construction management, cost accounting, or a related field
• 2+ years experience in cost estimating
• Experience using cost analysis software
• Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts
