Anthropologist Job Description

Anthropologist is a person who studies humanity and its cultures and behaviour.

Anthropologists may also study non-human primates and other animals.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for an Anthropologist to come and help us study the local culture and customs. We want to learn more about the history and traditions of the people who live here, and we think an Anthropologist would be the perfect person to help us.

Anthropologist Duties:

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of anthropological theories and concepts; demonstrate the ability to integrate this knowledge into specific projects or programs
• Provide skilled consultation services, which may include research design, data management, and report development
• Become familiar with client concerns, issues, and expectations
• Study project development, scheduling, approval, implementation, and evaluation processes
• Assist client in developing project strategies, policies, and procedures
• Create project structures, processes, and procedures

Anthropologist Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and document museum and field storage conditions for prehistoric cultural artifacts
• Develop, maintain, and document inventory for museum and field storage
• Develop, maintain, and document laboratory and field research operations, including sample acquisition, prep, analysis, and interpretation
• Conduct preliminary archaeological surveys
