Car Detailer Job Description

A car detailer is a person or company who cleans, polishes, and maintains automobiles.

Some car detailers specialize in certain areas of car care, such as engine cleaning.

There are full-service car detailers, who clean, polish, and detail the entire vehicle, in addition to carrying out additional services like shampooing carpets, buffing out scratches, and waxing the car’s exterior and glass.

Some full-service detailers may also offer windshield chip repair, interior cleaning, vehicle odor removal, and fabric protection.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for an experienced Car Detailer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work independently. If you are a motivated individual with a passion for detail, we want to hear from you!

Car Detailer Duties:

• Maintain all vehicles, ensuring that all detail work is completed and services are performed according to dealership standards
• Provide detailed vehicle preparation, including vacuuming, washing, waxing, and polishing
• Perform touch-up work on paint to correct minor scratches and perform minor dent repair
• Remove stains, spills, and odors from upholstery
• Maneuver vehicles into service bays
• Establish service rapport with customers
• Maintain clean, organized, and convenient work areas
• Establish and adhere to all safety procedures
• Ensure that dealership’s customer and employee satisfaction is met

Car Detailer Responsibilities:

• Clean interior of vehicles, including vacuuming, shampooing, upholstery cleaning (leather and fabric), and glass cleaning
• Brake and shine vehicle exteriors, including washing, waxing, buffing, and polishing
• Tons of experience required, all tools needed provided

Requirements And Skills:

• Experience detailing cars
• Clean cut appearance
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Must have a reliable vehicle
