Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Duties:
- Oversee and direct accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and taxes
- Develop and maintain accounting and reporting systems
- Formulate, review, and communicate accounting policies and procedures
- Promote compliance with internal and external accounting regulations
- Manage and oversee general ledger activities
- Determine the direction, strategy and objectives for accounting
- Create and maintain records of accounts, transactions, assets and liabilities
- Manage and oversee the financial reporting process
- Provide staff with direction, training, and support
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Responsibilities:
- Work closely with upper management to develop and administer financial policies and procedures, and monitor financial performance of the company
- Prepare financial reports and statements, including quarterly and annual reviews, and handle ad hoc requests
- Oversee the preparation of financial data, including cash flow projections, annual budgets, and short- and long-term investment plans
- Maintain complete and accurate financial records, including inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and the investment portfolio
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns for federal and state agencies
- Assist with budget development and monitoring

- Perform accounting and other financial duties in absence of Controller
- Oversee payroll activities, including managing payroll transactions, calculating and issuing paychecks, and assisting management with tax and benefit issues
- Assist with ensuring regulatory compliance with federal agencies, such as OSHA and EPA
- Assist with quarterly and annual audits, and assist with identifying and resolving
