Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Commercial Lawyer to join our team. You will be responsible for advising clients on a range of legal issues, including contract law, negligence, and property law. You will also be required to draft legal documents, such as contracts and leases.

Commercial Lawyer Duties:

• Develop strong professional relationships with clients
• Support the skill and knowledge of all staff
• Keep up to date on all legal developments and legal matters pertaining to the construction industry
• Attend meetings, seminars and conferences
• Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures
• Ensure that company’s operations comply with all legal and regulatory matters

Commercial Lawyer Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts to include, but not limited to, sales, leases, employment, distribution, licensing, and manufacturing agreements
• Appoint representatives and agents to represent the company, and oversee their activities
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the company’s legal strategy, and identify and mitigate risk in the commercial environment
• Work closely with the business to develop, implement, and maintain contracts that achieve business goals

Requirements And Skills:

• BA in Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Sales, or Management
• 5+ years experience in commercial lending, contract negotiation, and commercial real estate
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of real estate law, including zoning, building, and construction
