Job Brief:
We’re looking for a Communications Assistant who is passionate about helping others and has excellent written and verbal communication skills. The Communications Assistant will be responsible for assisting with various communication projects and tasks, including but not limited to drafting and editing correspondence, creating and distributing communication materials, and managing social media accounts. Communications Assistant Duties:
- Provide administrative support to the GM by assisting with the implementation and execution of communications and marketing initiatives
- Promote the organization’s online presence through social media, advertisements, and other marketing channels
- Assist with development and implementation of organizational communications plan
- Create and maintain databases, creating and editing documents, and other tasks as needed
Communications Assistant Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update internal communications systems and procedures, including company intranet
- Specialize in social media, such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and blogs, and maintain company presence on these sites
- Participate in event planning and execution, including setting up booths and events, promoting with signage, and other relevant activities
- Support the marketing team with design, content development, and copywriting
- Research, capture, and analyze industry trends, competitors, and market conditions for reports
- Support the finance team with compiling data for reports
- Manage special projects as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements And Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or information sciences
- 3+ years professional experience in public relations, marketing, advertising, or journalism
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure; demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
