Criminal Lawyer Responsibilities:

• Metaphorically and practically represent individuals, families, and businesses in criminal, civil, family, and probate matters
• Provide legal advice and counsel on general criminal procedure, evidence, discovery, and criminal appeals
• Prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs, including discovery matters, including legal memoranda and affidavits
• Undertake independent research and drafting of motions and briefs
• Attend evidentiary hearings and cross-examine witnesses
• Conduct initial investigations and resolve factual issues using appropriate investigative techniques, analyze evidence, prepare findings, and recommendations
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with law enforcement personnel and the judiciary

Requirements And Skills:

• Law degree from a US-accredited law school
• 1+ year of experience practicing law in a US court of law
• Experience representing clients before administrative agencies or in administrative hearings
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to solve problems and work independently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
