- Develop the engineering department’s strategic plan by analyzing organizational strengths and weaknesses

- Develop the engineering department’s budget
- Evaluate and recommend engineering systems and procedures
- Manage and oversee engineers
- Provide effective feedback to others on engineering practices to improve work efficiency

- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments and client groups

Director of Engineering Responsibilities:
- Drive project execution by managing the activities of multiple engineers and CAD technicians

- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and contractors
- Conduct meetings with clients, job site personnel, and engineers to identify and resolve issues

Requirements And Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years’ proven experience in engineering management
- Strong technical background with focus on structural design, the ability to perform structural analysis, and knowledge of building code requirements
- Skilled in the use of computer aided drafting and design applications
