Driver Duties
- Drive material handling equipment to move materials and merchandise as needed
- Follow and adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations
- Perform job duties safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure proper operation
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of work performed on company time cards
- Maintain professional, tactful, and courteous communication behaviors
Driver Responsibilities
- Maintain vehicle maintenance logs, report vehicle maintenance issues to the operations manager, and comply with all federal and state Department of Transportation regulations
- Drive assigned route safely and on schedule, and take the time to resolve customer complaints, provide a consistent high level of customer service, and meet inbound and outbound goals
- Maintain company asset utilization
- Coordinate with operations manager regarding vehicle deliveries and pickups
- Campaign, if necessary, to achieve financial goals
Requirements And Skills
- Ability to maintain valid Class A CDL license
- Prior experience as a driver preferred
- Excellent customer interaction and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive a tractor trailer safely to keep a load safe and secure
- Ability to solve logistical problems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
