Equipment Operator Job Description

An equipment operator is a worker that is responsible for operating the equipment.

These operators are responsible for ensuring that there are enough operators to man the equipment.

Job Brief:

Equipment Operator Duties:

• Operate the equipment at the job site for demolition and removal tasks
• Ensure equipment is maintained properly and operations are not impeded
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all tasks performed
• Assist other team members as needed

Equipment Operator Responsibilities:

• Allocate resources; compile and compile operator and location-related information; prepare estimates, invoices, reports, and expenditures; pay bills; prepare reports; and compute taxes or charges
• Maintain equipment inventories; return leased equipment; pay bills; prepare reports; and compute taxes or charges
• Maintain records; compile information; assign, coordinate, and integrate resources; and accomplish related results
• Monitor weather conditions; adjust equipment to account for weather; exercise caution while doing work; and respond to emergency situations

Requirements And Skills:

• 6 to 7 years’ proven experience operating construction equipment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with crew members
• Proven ability to operate equipment safely while following all safety requirements
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operations such as loaders and excavators
