Job Brief:
We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to provide support for our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment. They will also be able to work independently and be able to travel as needed.
Field Service Engineer Duties:
- Manage field service operations, including service calls, scheduling, and dispatching
- Oversee field service technicians to ensure that they are appropriately trained and can handle the tasks required of them
- Maintain full knowledge of all products, services, and field service representatives
- Keep track of field service representatives’ assignments and locations
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records
- Maintain records and track daily sales data
- Support the sales team by handling customer issues, complaints, and questions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Field Service Engineer Responsibilities:
- Visit sites as needed to review and document projects, troubleshoot problems, and assist customers
- Complete job notebooks and reports, and compile expense reports
- Maintain and update SOW, preconstruction documents, and project plans
- Ensure all equipment performs as intended
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements And Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or technology
- 3+ years’ field service experience, including at least 2 years as a Field Service Engineer
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead, motivate, and retain service technicians and installers
