We’re looking for a Gardener to help us take care of our garden. We need someone who is experienced and knows how to take care of different types of plants.
Gardener Duties:
- Assists in the ongoing maintenance of the gardens and grounds
- Assist in the maintenance of all interior and exterior grounds, including landscaping
- Provide regular and scheduled maintenance of gardens, grounds, and picnic areas
- Maintain grounds, including cleaning and maintaining irrigation systems, trimming hedges, and removing snow
- Maintain lawns and planting areas
- Maintain, install, and prune trees and plants throughout the property
- Maintain all equipment and tools
- Maintain cleanliness of all interior and exterior grounds
- Maintain equipment, tools, and supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Gardener Responsibilities:
- Assist in diagnosing and treating sick plants
- Establish a healthy plant population through proper watering, fertilizing, pruning, and pest control
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by collecting trash, oil, and other debris, and reporting unsafe conditions or violations
- Establish and maintain vegetation by planting, transplanting, and caring for plants
- Establish healthy soil conditions by amending soil, removing manure, and fertilizing
- Maintain large lawn areas by mowing, edging, and watering
- Maintain gardens by watering, weeding, fertilizing, and pruning
- Maintain trees by keeping them well-watered, trimming, and pruning as needed
Requirements And Skills:
- Proven experience in a landscaping or gardening role
- Proven ability to manipulate and maintain a wide range of equipment
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
- Strong working knowledge of operational procedures
