Industrial Security Specialist Duties:

• Develop and implement security plans and procedures
• Implement security measures to protect and maintain facilities
• Coordinate with monitoring stations and law enforcement agencies in emergency situations
• Provide training to employees
• Research and anticipate security needs
• Manage, supervise, and evaluate security officers

Industrial Security Specialist Responsibilities:

• Provide support for daily operations, including surveillance of company assets, monitoring employee access, and performing investigative duties
• Perform background checks on new employees, verify credentials for contractors, and administer ID badges, keys, and visitor passes
• Oversee the installation and maintenance of security systems, including closed-circuit television, intrusion detection, and fire/smoke/gas/sprinkler systems, working closely with the facilities department
• Monitor and inspect all company vehicles and record vehicle mileage
• Maintain and update company vehicle maintenance records
• Train new employees on the security policies and procedures

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal/justice science, national security affairs, law enforcement, or a related field
• 2+ years’ proven experience in an operations management position
• Demonstrated ability to supervise all phases of a security program
• Demonstrated managerial skills; ability
