Job Brief:

We’re looking for a News Producer who is creative, has a strong work ethic, and is able to work in a fast-paced environment. The News Producer will be responsible for overseeing the production of news content, working with reporters and anchors to ensure accuracy and fairness, and making sure the news is delivered in a timely and professional manner.

News Producer Duties:

• Provide daily news coverage to viewers and clients, including anchoring and reporting
• Create compelling, informative, and captivating reports
• Develop creative, effective, and attention-grabbing news stories
• Maintain professional relationships with contacts in government and industry
• Identify news stories, assemble video, and review and evaluate materials to ensure quality
• Maintain visual standards throughout all productions

News Producer Responsibilities:

• Management of the news production workflow and scheduling for the GMA newsroom and news bureaus
• Article research, writing, and editing
• Project management, including assignment and coordination of field, sound, and broadcast crews, and subcontracting vendors and suppliers
• Supervise newsroom and broadcast equipment

Requirements And Skills:

• Proven experience in a managerial role
• Strong decision-making capabilities
• Above-average communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
• Highly trained in conflict management and business negotiation processes
• Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word
