Job Brief:
We’re looking for a Physical Therapy Aide to work in our clinic. The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients in a physical therapy setting.
Physical Therapy Aide Duties:
- Assist in the planning and implementation of physical therapy programs
- Generate and maintain a log of patient progress
- Assist patients with exercises, stretching, and range of motion
- Provide other physical therapy services
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Therapy Aide Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, under supervision, for assigned patient population by performing physical therapist directed treatments and activities
- Properly set up, maintain, and inventory physical therapy equipment, supplies and furniture
- Assist in maintaining proper hygiene of all equipment
- Educate patients, families and caregivers regarding physical therapy, including articles, policies and procedures, and therapeutic exercises
- Maintain professional relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other health care providers
- Assist in activities related to billing and reimbursement
Requirements And Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 2+ years’ proven experience as a rehab aide
- Ability to work with a wide variety of patients
- Knowledge and ability to apply basic patient care skills, including wound care, bandaging, and respiratory treatments
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families
