Print Designer Duties:
- Research, specify, and procure printing equipment, systems, and supplies
- Develop, design, and execute print materials
- Maintain high quality of work
- Maintain schedules for print jobs
- Ensure that all work is completed within budgetary guidelines
- Generate sales leads through creative advertising
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on printers, technologies, and associated software
- Demonstrate strong leadership qualities
- Develop recommendations, explain implications, and give feedback on design concepts
- Participate in brainstorming sessions
Print Designer Responsibilities:
- Assist with all phases of print production and layout, from ideation and concept development to final production
- Create print-ready files for digital and print production including scanning and retouching images
- Manage digital color separations and production workflow
- Work with external vendors to source print materials and products
- Create designs for posters, flyers, brochures, and other marketing collateral
- Coordinate with external vendors on color matching ink and printing processes
- Perform quality checks
- Oversee printing and mailing
- Approve materials for print production
Requirements And Skills:
- 3+ years experience in print design
- Bachelor’s degree in design or marketing, or 2+ years’ work experience in advertising or marketing
- Previous experience creating print ads or marketing collateral for clients
- Excellent visual design, typography, and illustration skills
