Procurement Analyst Duties:
- Analyze and evaluate the procurement process
- Provide cost, quality, and contract analyses
- Recommend methods of procurement and contract management
- Identify and document vendor needs
- Research and evaluate vendors to ensure best pricing, quality, and service
- Acquire new vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships
- Develop procurement strategy based on the organization’s short and long term objectives
- Plan and coordinate procurement activities
- Provide vendor selection recommendations
- Promote and oversee implementation of policies and procedures for procurement
- Perform other duties as assigned
Procurement Analyst Responsibilities:
- Manages the procurement process to ensure materials, services, and contracts are delivered in an efficient manner
- Performs cost analysis and forecasting while reviewing purchase requisitions, contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and credit memos
- Reviews construction projects for compliance with specifications and work orders, and verifies that documentation is complete and accurate
- Provides budgetary and forecasting information to management and other team members, and prepares cost reports on activities
- Maintains inventory control systems and implements changes as directed
- Performs analysis, design, and programming of computerized systems
- Negotiates contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Maintains vendor and supplier performance, and monitors compliance with company policies
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements And Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or finance
- 1-5 years’ procurement experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Knowledge of procurement methods, procedures, and techniques
- Experience in analyzing and interpreting RFP responses
- Knowledge of estimating, cost
