Project Architect Duties:

  • Develop project plans, budgets and schedules
  • Develop team plans and project scheduling
  • Experience with project scheduling software a plus
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings
  • Manage all project documentation
  • Collaborate with and evaluate all consultants and subcontractors
  • Give presentations to clients, architects, engineers, and vendors
  • Develop project plans and budgets for projects including architectural drawings, specifications, estimates, cost reports, and schedules

Project Architect Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the architectural production and meet client requirements
  • Assist with preliminary feasibility studies, master planning, and design
  • Write project plans, specifications, and related documents, and coordinate all phases of construction
  • Oversee project schedules, cost projections, and budget estimates
  • Develop renovation plans, conduct design review meetings, and ensure compliance with building codes
  • Attend preconstruction and bid meetings with contractors and vendors, and issue progress reports
  • Develop and manage a proactive communication program to keep contractors informed about project progress and conditions
  • Ensure that all work is in accordance with building codes, regulations, and plans
  • Advise on design, construction, and renovation issues
  • Update architect and other consultants on project status, plans, and procedures

Requirements And Skills:

  • Master’s degree in architecture
  • 2+ years experience in designing, planning, and executing construction projects
  • Experience in construction detailing and specification development
  • Knowledge of building materials and methods
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • Knowledge of construction management
