Sanitation Supervisor Job Description

The sanitation supervisor is responsible for ensuring that cleanliness standards are enforced.

The supervisor must ensure that all sanitation standards are met, such as ensuring clean conditions and sanitation in all staff areas, hallways, and dining areas.

The sanitation supervisor must ensure that all inmates’ needs are met, such as ensuring that inmates receive laundry service, clothing, and toiletries.

The supervisor must respond to complaints from inmates about sanitation.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Sanitation Supervisor to lead our team of sanitation workers. The supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are clean and sanitary. They will also be responsible for training new employees and ensuring that all safety procedures are followed.

Sanitation Supervisor Duties:

• Oversee the delivery and operation of sanitation services and their quality control
• Keep a portfolio of customer complaints, incidents, and problems
• Promote sanitation services by developing relationships
• Maintain and supervise sanitation workers
• Maintain sanitation equipment, vehicles, and various sanitation services
• Investigate complaints, incidents, and problems

Sanitation Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Perform daily sanitation services and ensure all catering facilities are clean, sanitized, and orderly
• Ensure all linens, uniforms, and cleaning supplies are clean and fresh
• Monitor and control smooth and efficient operation of the facility’s laundry services
• Manage all catering equipment, including dishwashers, ice machines, and trash compactors
• Assist with scheduling, inventory, and purchasing of supplies
• Maintain operational procedures in the facility

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, public administration, or related field
• 3+ years supervisory experience in sanitation or waste management
• Excellent communication skills; effective leader
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to manage employees
