• Ensure that network assets are implemented and maintained according to strategy
• Research, plan, design, implement, support, upgrade, and troubleshoot network equipment, hardware and software
• Provide on-call support 24/7
• Proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure network is running smoothly
• Create and maintain relationships with vendors
• Identify new network trends and recommend changes accordingly
• Work off site as needed
• Solve complex problems and handle multiple priorities
• Must be up-to-date with new and emerging technology
• Dependable, trustworthy, responsible

Senior Network Engineer Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development, installation, and maintenance of computer network systems
• Coordinate the network access needs of multiple employees and provide IT support for all systems and devices
• Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls
• Provide advice and guidance regarding network security and user access protocols
• Conduct security scans and vulnerability analysis to identify security holes
• Maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, service level agreements, and policies and procedures
• Provide network and system support, including troubleshooting, monitoring and reporting
• Provide leadership to develop and implement training programs for network users
• Provide backup and disaster recovery services
• Provide regular status updates to upper management

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
• 3+ years proven experience supporting network security, server administration, and network administration
• Experience with VPN implementation, firewall configuration, and routing protocols
• Experience with wireless networking
