Senior developers generally have more responsibility within and around the team than others and are usually the team leader.

Senior developers create software that is utilized by clients in a business setting.

The senior developer’s responsibilities include leading the team responsible for a software project, creating, planning, and documenting software, and evaluating the software development team’s progress.

Senior Web Developer Duties:

• Develop and maintain web application
• Develop ecommerce site
• Network programming
• Server-side scripting
• Management
• Providing fault-tolerant data integrity
• Database development
• Provide technical consulting
• Operating system support
• Provide software training
• Consulting with users for the development of custom applications
• Establish, implement, and maintain Web application
• Ensures compliance with IT and company policies, procedures, and standards and contributes to continuous process improvement
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other IT employees to research, design, and develop Web applications
• Work closely with business departments and users on projects to develop, maintain, and enhance Web applications
• Coordinate between the software development team and QA team
• Stay abreast of new technologies
• Provide planning, specifications, and implementation support

Senior Web Developer Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications to meet business requirements and industry standards
• Design, code, document, test, and debug web applications in C#, ASP.NET, SQL, and JavaScript, using Visual Studio
• Implement, customize, and support application templates, using application lifecycle management tools
• Participate in application security, architecture, and configuration reviews
• Work with back-end developers to integrate web applications with business systems and ensure applications support scalability, reliability, and performance
• Perform application maintenance and support as needed
• Perform code reviews and collaborate with team members to ensure code quality
• Work collaboratively with business analysts, other IT professionals, and senior staff members to identify, develop, and implement applications
• Support software integration, software upgrades, and other IT projects
• Provide training for software applications
• Provide application support for end users

Requirements And Skills:

• No experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
