Sign Installer Job Description

Sign Installers are professionals who install signs, such as window signs or political signs.

Sign Installers typically carry a variety of tools such as ladders, power tools, and drills.

They work out in the field, typically at construction sites, installing signs and decorations.

Constructing window and wall displays.

Installing and maintaining decorative lighting.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Sign Installer to help us put up some new signage around the office. If you have experience installing signs, then we’d love to hear from you.

Sign Installer Duties:

• Install signage for interior and exterior
• Install signs using proper measuring, cutting, and installation methods
• Use various materials, such as metal, wood, and plastic, to create signs
• Create signs using a variety of materials and methods
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
• Follow company safety procedures and policies
• Providing excellent customer service
• Maintain detailed records
• Follow instructions, guidelines, and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information
• Perform other duties as requested

Sign Installer Responsibilities:

• Install interior and exterior signage per design drawings
• Must have possession of a valid driver’s license, insurance card, and vehicle registration
• Should have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a commercial vehicle
• Must have basic computer skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Must have emails, voicemail, and fax services
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must be able to climb stairs and scaffold
• Must be able to drive a four wheel drive vehicle with trailer up to 3,000lbs
• Should be able to operate a forklift
• Must be able to pass drug test, background check, and drug test

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in art, architecture, or graphic arts
• 2+ years of experience installing retail signage
• Knowledge of reading, interpreting, and applying sign code standards
• Knowledge of vehicle mounted sign mounting equipment
• Ability to operate hand power tools
