Software Engineer Intern Duties:

• Design and develop software for a variety of platforms
• Maintain strong relationships and manage project teams
• Develop, test, and document software to ensure quality, reliability, and scalability
• Maintain and improve software to create innovative solutions
• Live within or near the Washington DC/Baltimore Metro Area

Software Engineer Intern Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and enhance web-based solutions for a large company
• Create development plans and test plans, and perform unit, integration, and regression testing
• Establish and maintain coding standards, and automate manual tasks
• Develop prototype applications and design user interfaces
• Maintain and improve current web applications
• Perform data modeling and mapping, and serve as member for technical committees and taskforces
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user documentation, software development, and technology standards
• Maintain and expand knowledge of current technologies and trends

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Expert level knowledge of all phases of software development lifecycle
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven experience leading and mentoring junior staff
