Surveyor Duties:
- Survey land for construction, development, and improvement projects
- Analyze designs, plans, elevations, and surveys to determine locations of structures and improvements
- Calculate and compute areas, volumes, and other measurements of land, structures, or improvements
- Draw sketches, plans, maps, graphs, tables, charts, or diagrams of diagrams, plans, and maps
- Clarify concepts and information by completing necessary research and investigations
- Plan and organize work schedules to meet deadlines
- Perform related duties as assigned
Surveyor Responsibilities:
- Survey land and buildings to establish boundaries, elevations, and areas
- Record site information, including coordinates and dimensions, in survey notebooks, including stakeouts, elevations, metes and bounds, and measurements
- Design surveys and preliminary plats
- Perform topographic surveys
- Perform legal surveys
- Perform boundary surveys
