Job Brief:

Swim Instructor Duties:

• Assist the Owner and General Manager in the maintenance of the pool and grounds
• Assist in managing and supervising the lifeguards
• Supervise daily operations of the pool, including training, scheduling, and treatment
• Trained lifeguards
• Provide appropriate health and safety programs
• Perform pool maintenance
• Provide administrative support such as answering phones, filing, budgeting, etc.
• Assist in job recruitment as needed

Swim Instructor Responsibilities:

• Swimming instructor certification required
• Experience working with young children
• Knowledge of pool and water safety
• Knowledge of stroke correction, stroke drills and strength training
• Ability to teach all strokes
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Requirements And Skills:

• Implements swim lessons curriculum
• Respond to emergencies
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of pool
• Encourages children to make healthy choices
• Ensures that children are provided with adequate supervision
• Promotes health and wellness
• Maintains reliable swim lesson schedule
• Provides support with coaching and instruction
• Maintains accurate records of attendance, goals, and participation
• Assist with other related duties as assigned
