Tree Groundsman Job Description

A tree groundsman is a worker who manages and maintains the company’s grounds, which may include landscaping, gardening, lawn maintenance, and erecting fences.

Tree groundsmen also inspects the health of trees, and handles requests from customers for lawn, tree, or shrub removal.

Tree groundsmen are sometimes referred to as a grounds supervisor, a groundsman, or the landscaper.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for Tree Groundsman to help us take care of our trees. We need someone who is experienced in tree care and is able to work independently. This is a great opportunity for anyone who loves nature and wants to help us protect our trees.

Tree Groundsman Duties:

• Maintain lawns and grounds of residential, commercial, and industrial properties
• Perform various maintenance tasks, such as lawn mowing, edging, weeding, and fertilizer application
• Recommend landscaping and trimming techniques to property owners
• Perform irrigation maintenance on commercial and residential properties
• Maintain trees and shrubs to increase beauty and property value

Tree Groundsman Responsibilities:

• Strong knowledge of tree care and landscaping techniques
• Ability to read blueprints and plant plans
• Ability to understand manual and powered equipment
• Ability to maintain precise records and maintain a safe work environment

Requirements And Skills:

• Maintain weekly groundskeeping schedules at office, development, and construction sites, ensuring all areas receive adequate, timely, and high-quality care
• Clean and maintain all office, development, and construction sites
• Maintain all grounds and equipment to company standards, including mowing, watering, weeding, trimming, weeding, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control
• Maintain traffic control at building entrances and exits
• Perform tree care, including pruning, removal, and planting of trees
• Perform general landscaping, including planting, mowing, irrigation, and weed control
• Provide irrigation and tree maintenance services
• Maintain all company vehicles and tools
• Maintain all company facilities
