Vascular Surgeon Duties:

  • Identify and diagnose medical conditions through examinations and tests
  • Perform surgeries on patients, such as angioplasties and angioplasty

Vascular Surgeon Responsibilities:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible vascular surgeon
  • 2+ years’ surgical experience as a vascular surgeon

Requirements And Skills:

  • Perform all vascular procedures, including open surgeries, thrombectomies, and dialysis access procedures
  • Perform technical evaluations and write comprehensive vascular reports
  • Evaluate and treat a wide variety of vascular conditions, including arterial blockages, aneurysms, blockages, varicose veins, venous insufficiency, and deep vein thrombosis
  • Assist surgeons in the performance of complex vascular surgeries
  • Assist in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care of patients
  • Perform and document complete vascular evaluations
  • Participate in the maintenance of patient records
  • Review and approve patient treatment plans
  • Interpret and perform as needed
  • Contribute to the training of vascular surgery residents and fellows
  • Write case studies, perform research, participate in CME activities, and present cases at professional meetings
  • Screen candidates, select new staff, train new staff, and work in conjunction with other department heads
