Verification Engineer Job Description

A verification engineer performs verification and validation testing for hardware or software systems, such as medical devices and automobiles.

A verification engineer is responsible for determining the functionality, efficiency, and accuracy of the device using software calibration, and ensuring that hardware and software functions as expected.

The engineer can test and improve the design of a hardware product by editing a product’s design or assembly, and by testing the final product to ensure that it meets specifications.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Verification Engineer to help us ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards. As a Verification Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans to verify the functionality and accuracy of our products. Verification Engineer Duties:

• Verify that buildings in which the company is contracted for occupancy meet or exceed all applicable state and federal codes, standards, and regulations
• Obtain and review all building plans and specifications for the project
• Review plans for compliance with code requirements
• Review all building plans for compliance with project goals
• Perform any and all other duties related to the position

Verification Engineer Responsibilities:

• Performs independent verification and validation of testing and certification results.
• Reviews and approves test plans, test reports, test procedures, manuals, and test reports prior to release.
• Provides support to the Safety team as necessary.
• Has knowledge of a standards organization and/or relevant industry organizations.
• Has the ability to plan, organize, manage, and complete work assignments within established deadlines.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects.
• Must have experience performing testing and/or auditing.
• Must have experience with manufacturing, automotive, and/or related technical field.
• Must be available to travel domestically.
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, or

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Physics or related discipline
• 3+ years of related industry experience in Construction / Civil / Structural
• Ability to use GPS, RTK, and Total Stations to gather and interpret data
