What are Screen job Applicants?
Screen job applicants, also known as pre-screen job applicants, are people who apply for jobs at a company but do not get called in to interview, it refers to a process in which employer’s verify candidates’ backgrounds, and screen them for drugs, and assess their behavior.
Pre-screening saves the company time, money, and human resources as they can make quicker decisions about who they want to hire. An applicant who fails the screening usually does not get called back, but they can reapply for a job.
In many companies, the screening is done by a computer.
There are few reasons why screening job applicants is necessary:
