Actor Job Description

An actor, also known as an “actor-model”, is a person who becomes an object of a theatrical production.

Actors typically receive training in performing, voice, and movement, though this is not a requirement.

Many actors are able to secure work in film and television by showcasing their acting ability in commercials, music videos, and short films.

Some actors are discovered, or discovered by accident, first performing in live theater.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for an actor to star in our new movie.

Actor Duties:

• Act as spokesperson of the brand
• Create content to be conveyed via private and/or public channels, such as social media, the company website, and other externally-facing media
• Maintain composure in stressful situations
• Act responsibly in light of personal dignity and media relations
• Perform in a prepared environment

Actor Responsibilities:

• Transform yourself physically and emotionally for camera
• Research and prepare for the roles, playing a variety of characters for commercials, films, television shows, and theater
• Perform under camera direction and in character
• Establish and perform in scene relationships
• Maintain a professional image and energy level
• Perform on cue, in a prepared environment, with promptness and accuracy
• Move effectively in small spaces
• Act with courtesy and tact toward crew members or other actors, and maintain appropriate confidentiality
• Take direction from production people
• Perform quickly, staying on script
• Act comfortably in character
• Act naturally in character
• Maintain a positive working relationship with others
• Work effectively with a wide range of people

Requirements And Skills:

• Acting experience on stage, screen, or online
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience working in a collaborative environment, and being a team player
• Strong organizational skills
