Application Manager Duties:

• Execute administrative duties for corporate products
• Develop policies and technical processes to implement, manage, and evaluate the applications
• Assist in determining system requirements for corporate product applications
• Maintain an equal level of technical understanding with all other IT specialists
• Monitor the performance of the applications
• Create and maintain reports with key metrics to identify potential problems
• Train other team members on the applications
• Document standard operating procedures and processes
• Assist in resolving application problems
• Manage project schedules and budget estimates
• Assist in other IT related projects

Application Manager Responsibilities:

• Create, write, and review code and applications, as well as manage application requirements such as database requirements, security, and user groups
• Develop and maintain application architecture, integrating applications into existing systems
• Design, develop, test, and implement application upgrades and enhancements
• Maintain backups of application and database files, and troubleshoot bottlenecks
• Generate and maintain documentation
• Contribute to overall IT strategy

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science
• 2+ years of experience managing software development projects
• Strong technical background in at least one of the following areas:
• Java, .net, c++, c#, Python, or PHP
