An architectural drafter is responsible for creating plans and architectural renderings of buildings.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for an Architectural Draftsman who is skilled in AutoCAD and other computer-aided design software programs. The ideal candidate will have experience working on a variety of project types, including residential, commercial, and industrial. They will be able to take a project from concept to completion, working closely with the architect and other members of the design team. Architectural Draftsman Duties:

Architectural Draftsman Responsibilities:

  • Prepare basic drawings and illustrations, sketches and diagrams, schematics and conceptual drawings, working drawings, and design proposals for clients in various architectural media
  • Convert architect’s concept into architectural drawings, using computer-assisted drafting and design software
  • Work with architects and other engineering professionals to achieve design goals
  • Verify dimensions, scale, space relationships, and material quantities
  • Manage project schedules and ensure timely delivery of product
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers
  • Work with other team members to complete tasks and meet deadlines

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 10+ years of experience in architectural drafting
  • 2+ years of experience with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Capability to produce accurate floor plans, elevations, section layouts, and details
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
