An audiologist is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders of the auditory, vestibular, and auditory-vestibular systems.

Audiologists work closely with physicians, other health care professionals, and patients and their families.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for an Audiologist to come and work with us. We need someone who is experienced and qualified to help us with our patients.

Audiologist Duties:

  • Treat patients professionally and effectively
  • Treat patients according to facility protocol
  • Perform medical evaluations and diagnoses
  • Assess patient needs, identify appropriate interventions, and develop treatment plans
  • Complete patient paperwork after each visit
  • Conduct hearing tests
  • Educate patients about hearing health care issues
  • Advise patients on treatment options
  • Provide follow-up care to patients

Audiologist Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat hearing problems, including testing, diagnosis, and intervention
  • Perform ear wax removal and provide hearing aid services
  • Perform hearing screening and evaluation, hearing conservation programs, and hearing rehabilitation
  • Perform diagnostic consultations and provide medical services to patients
  • Assist in the dispensing of hearing aids and related products
  • Prepare routine reports, maintain records, and maintain confidentiality
  • Use diagnostic audiometers and hearing instruments
  • Assist with patient care, including performing office duties, maintaining equipment, and recommending the use of assistive devices
  • Develop and implement patient assessment, care, and rehabilitative programs
  • Develop and implement patient care and rehabilitative programs
  • Recommend various solutions to improve hearing
  • Provide instruction to patients on hearing care
  • Provide administrative, financial, and technical aid

Requirements And Skills:

  • AA degree in audiology, speech-language pathology or other applicable field
  • 2+ years of clinical experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain state license
  • Proficient in speech therapy techniques, including:
  • Dictation
  • Voice therapy
  • Listening therapy
