AZ DZ Driver Job Description

A DZ, or demilitarized zone, is a piece of land cleared of military activity and armaments such as artillery, tanks, and weapons.

This land is used to control the movement of vehicles and military personnel, and is often kept free of vegetation and obstacles.

DZs may be used in wartime, and in some locations, may last semi-permanently, remaining in place after the war is over.

Job Brief:

AZ DZ Driver Duties:

• Provide timely, safe and efficient air transportation services
• Maintain positive professional relationships with other members of the organization
• Maintain and support a positive image of the organization
• Communicate effectively and professionally with management, staff, clients, and the general public
• Assist other departments with ground services as needed

AZ DZ Driver Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper and safe loading and unloading of freight
• Maintain required DOT and FAA certifications and records
• Maintain DOT and FAA logs and required records
• Keep daily log of all miles driven and fuel used
• Maintain accurate records of banked hours, and other records of compliance with company policies
• Maintain DOT required records and certifications
• Respect company policies and objectives

Requirements And Skills:

• Commercial Driver License with Air Brakes Endorsement
• Possession of a current Medical Card
• Strong understanding of the safe and efficient operation of aircraft, and compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations
• Ability to communicate effectively both in person and in writing
• Ability to effectively multi-task, while ensuring safety at all times
