Barber Duties:
- Perform a variety of hair cutting and styling techniques including shampooing and shaving, styling, coloring, perming, and hair treatments
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of hair and facial stations as well as client’s surrounding areas
- Keep client’s hair style current through regular services
- Perform basic skin care treatments and facials
- Evaluate client’s skin condition and recommend appropriate treatments for overall skin health
- Perform basic makeup artistry techniques
- Ensure all equipment and supplies are maintained and all safety standards are followed
- Assist in maintaining inventory of products and supplies
Barber Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and advise stylists on good haircuts, hair styling, and fashion trends
- Assist staff with customer service
- Recommend new products and services
- Maintain store appearance by cleaning, merchandising, and maintaining displays
- Assist with store special events
- Help train new employees
- Personable and friendly, while providing excellent customer service.
Requirements And Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have previous experience cutting hair
- Must be able to cut all types of hair
- Must have strong customer service and communication skills
