Job Brief:

Cake Decorator Duties:

• Evaluate and test new cake decorating techniques and ingredients
• Incorporate new design concepts into existing menus
• Provide high quality customer service
• Evaluate market trends and target offerings accordingly
• Develop new cake decorating techniques

Cake Decorator Responsibilities:

• Prepare, design, create, and decorate wedding cakes according to client and company specifications
• Maintain and order inventory
• Create and revise designs based on client feedback
• Apply decorating techniques using frosting, flowers, sugar, gum paste, fondant, modeling chocolate, and other edible materials
• Examine and develop fondant and gum paste recipes, ingredients, and ration
• Train new decorators
• Consult with clients regarding icing techniques and cake design
• Procure ingredients, tools, and equipment
• Complete and file necessary paperwork
• Conduct monthly inventories
• Maintain a clean work area
• Assist in other functions as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

• Able to prepare designs, presentations and mock ups
