Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Catering Assistant to help us with our upcoming event. The event is going to be a lot of fun, and we need someone who can help us with the food.

Catering Assistant Duties:

• Breads, cakes, and other baked goods cooked by head chef
• Ensure food quality and safety of recipes
• Serve meals, snacks, and beverages to guests
• Attend to guests’ needs
• Ensure proper equipment maintenance and cleanliness
• Assist in setup and cleanup of dining area
• Report any mishaps or challenges found in dining area
• Ensure proper storage of all food items
• Assist in kitchen area operations as needed
• Work with guests and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
• Complete tasks as directed by the head chef
• Other duties as assigned

Catering Assistant Responsibilities:

• Assist with catering events, including set-up, serving, and cleanup
• Instruct sales in appropriate product knowledge and how it can improve the customer experience
• Instruct staff on how to provide exceptional customer service
• Achieve company goals through personal performance

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in hospitality management or related field
• at least 2 years of food service experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
• Capable of handling a heavy workload
• Ability to operate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment
