We’re looking for an experienced Childcare Teacher to join our team. Childcare Teacher Duties:
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for all children and staff and participate in the planning, development, and implementation of daily educational/program activities
- Assist in developing and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children
- Create and implement lesson plans for all age groups
- Maintain individual records and child files for all children
- Interact with parents and other childcare professionals
- Develop activities for children with cognitive, physical, and emotional disabilities
- Provide daily written and oral reports to caregivers
- Provide children with emotional guidance and supervision
- Develop and implement strategies to foster children’s emotional development
Childcare Teacher Responsibilities:
- Provide personal attention to children, encourage creativity and independence, provide developmentally appropriate activities, develop child’s self-esteem and
- confidence, encourage learning through play
- Provide a safe, healthy, and secure environment
- Maintain clean, orderly, and well-stocked classroom
- Train, supervise, and evaluate nannies, au pairs, babysitters, and camp counselors
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with parents
- Successfully complete required training programs
- Demonstrate knowledge and ability to guide children through age appropriate activities
- Maintain accurate records and complete required paperwork
- Provide ongoing in-service training
- Maintain confidentiality of personal information
- Complete training requirements as assigned

- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood development or related field
- Experience working with children from ages 6 months – 5 years
