Comedian Duties:

• Combine social, political, and cultural influences with comedic skills to create a humorous presentation that targets a specific audience
• Develop engaging and original material
• Produce entertaining, professional, and humorous performances
• Promote ongoing contact with audiences by maintaining regular appearances at comedy clubs, theaters, and special events
• Conduct comedy showcases at clubs, colleges, and festivals, and record performances for television, DVDs, and the Internet
• Produce comedy-oriented videos

Comedian Responsibilities:

• Perform at weekly stand-up comedy shows, record and produce a podcast, and maintain an online presence
• Organize events, including open mics and fundraisers
• Engage audiences through social media
• Manage and cultivate relationships with sponsors and endorsers
• Develop a personal brand and tour schedule

Requirements And Skills:

• A background in stand-up comedy required
• Channeling other comedians and actors
• Previous television/radio experience
• Excellent verbal skills
• Excellent writing and delivery
