Concrete Laborer Duties

• Ensure that concrete is poured, cured, and finished according to specifications
• Mud floors, walls, concrete slabs, and foundations
• Reinforce and remove cracks in concrete slabs, walls, foundations, and floors
• Hammer, pound, drill, and chisel concrete
• Cut, drill, and polish concrete
• Mix, pour, and finish concrete
• Drive finishing tools into concrete
• Remove and replace concrete
• Install, repair, and maintain concrete forms, such as reinforcing ties and steel bars
• Assemble, connect, and channel rebar
• Lift and pour concrete
• Place and level concrete
• Punch, cut, and drill holes in concrete
• Measure and mark concrete
• Assemble forms, such as shoring systems, forms

Concrete Laborer Responsibilities

• Operate and mix concrete, using math skills to predict the type and amount of materials to mix
• Measure, cut, and pour concrete in forms for walls and buildings
• Assemble and erect forms for concrete pours
• Dry, set, and finish concrete surfaces
• Maintain concrete work area
• Record and track concrete quantities and types
• Assure concrete meets quality standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills

• Must have 4+ years prior experience in concrete
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work site
• Must pass drug test
• Must pass physical test
