Contract Analyst Job Description

A contract analyst is a type of business analyst who specializes in analyzing and creating specifications, processes and documents for large software contracts.

Contract analysts offer services similar to business analysts, but contract analysts have special training that enables them to analyze multi-vendor contracts.

Contract analysts can also work in the fields of compliance, risk management, and contracts administration.

Job Brief:

Contract Analyst Duties:

• Conduct market research to identify potential real estate holdings
• Construct real estate portfolios, including establishing strategic objectives and actively monitoring the portfolio
• Develop and maintain real estate portfolios by formulating investment strategies, allocating resources, and formulating real estate acquisition criteria
• Maintain productive relationships with management, analysis, and operations staff
• Monitor the financial condition of real estate holdings
• Review, negotiate, and draft legal documents
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations
• Conduct due diligence by investigating all information related to real estate holdings
• Plan, organize, and oversee the implementation of real estate projects
• Assist with site selection by conducting market research to identify potential real estate holdings, reviewing and analyzing real estate holdings, and preparing reports
• Develop, maintain, and oversee real estate holdings by formulating investment strategies, allocating resources, and formulating real estate acquisition criteria

Contract Analyst Responsibilities:

• Analyze and evaluate contracts, payment terms, and subcontractor agreements, and ensure they meet corporate standards regarding compliance and contracts
• Conduct pre- and post-construction inspections to verify quality, plan compliance, and safety standards
• Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, assuring working environment is maintained at acceptable levels, and tools and equipment are in good working condition

• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project managers on projects throughout the lifecycle

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, or related field
• 5+ years experience in commercial real estate development or construction
• Knowledge of standard contract language for real estate acquisition, development, and construction
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes, regulations, and permit requirements
