A development coordinator is a person who coordinates, plans, and organizes a fundraising event, campaign, or project.

Development coordinators must have excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and they must be good listeners and able to take direction well.

Development coordinators may also serve as the project manager for a fundraising event.

In this role, the development coordinator may work directly with the organization’s leadership, but s/he may also work closely with a staff person in the fundraising office.

We’re looking for Development Coordinator to work with our team on a variety of projects. The Development Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of projects, as well as providing support to the team in all aspects of project management. Development Coordinator Duties

  • Be responsible in planning, implementing, and assisting with the daily operations of development life cycle.
  • Assist in analytical review of development proposals and documentation.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Assist in the planning, development, and execution of community development activities which may include commercial, residential, retail, and industrial.
  • Prepare and/or review development agreements, deeds, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Review and/or prepare architectural and interior design documents and specifications.
  • Assist with due diligence procedures.
  • Research, review, and prepare financial forecasts, feasibility studies, and other reports.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining records.
  • Assist in the operations analysis, development proposals, and business development.
  • Assist with or direct the development of community plans, ordinances, and regulations.

Development Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day activities and staff, including hiring, scheduling, training, and evaluations
  • Manage project-related licensing and permitting processes, including site surveys, surveys, occupancy permits, inspections, utility approvals, and zoning
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure quality work and timely delivery
  • Conduct community outreach programs and events to promote and publicize development
  • Perform clerical and administrative functions, and contribute in sales and marketing initiatives
  • Maintain and contribute company standards, policies, and procedures

Requirements And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture and 3+ years’ work experience in real estate development
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Highly tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
