We’re looking for a qualified Director of Nursing to lead our clinical team and provide excellent patient care. Director of Nursing Duties:

• Manage the entire nursing department
• Provide direction to staff to ensure high quality of care
• Review and manage nursing activities and processes to ensure quality and efficiency
• Provide leadership for nursing staff
• Provide input to the Director of Clinical Services
• Supervise the nursing team, assigning duties, monitoring performance, and addressing any areas of concern
• Develop policies for nursing practices
• Inspire employees to work together as a team
• Develop and oversee nursing policies and procedures
• Monitor and improve patient and staff satisfaction
• Inform the Director of Clinical Services about nursing issues, patient concerns, and requests for assistance
• Assist the Director of Clinical Services in staff development
• Coordinate with physicians, other nursing staff, and patients regarding nursing issues
• Supervise the nursing department
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures
• Monitor any staff or patient issues

Director of Nursing Responsibilities:

• Ensure all clinical policies and procedures are followed and oversee all staffing, scheduling, and recruiting
• Develop and implement training programs that support professional development and continuing education
• Maintain and update policies and procedures to ensure their effectiveness, and oversee their implementation
• Schedule, conduct, and evaluate annual nurse performance appraisals
• Discuss with direct reports, nursing units, and departments regarding issues or concerns regarding patient care, clinical environment, or staff, and recommend and implement appropriate solutions
• Oversee the ordering and set-up of patient rooms, and oversee the installation and use of new and replacement medical equipment
• Oversee the scheduling of nursing shifts according to departmental needs, staffing requirements, organizational policies, and protocols to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency of physical resources
• Oversee the selection, hiring, and orientation of new employees
• Review the workflow and staffing needs in each department and in each

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in professional nursing
• 3+ years’ experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Nurse Practitioner (RPN)
• Knowledge of and practice with essential nursing concepts
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
