- Receive and record all vendor invoices, paying all invoices weekly
- Process all credit card statements in QuickBooks and send out all invoices
- Process all payments made in QuickBooks, pay all vendors bi-weekly
- Process all deposit requests, pay all vendors monthly
- Process all monthly expenses, pay all vendors monthly
- Create a quarterly budget, track monthly expenses against budget
- Process all accounts receivable, pay all vendors monthly
- Process all accounts payable, pay all vendors monthly
- Process all monthly payroll, pay all vendors monthly
- Track all payments, ensure all funds are received and spent appropriately
- Manage all petty cash, pay all vendors monthly
- Receive and record all deposits, submit cheques
- Coordination of monthly bank reconciliations, send all to accountant
Finance Assistant Responsibilities:
- Become familiar with the company’s accounting practices and procedures
- Assist the general manager with preparing, reviewing, and analyzing operating reports, budgets, and financial statements
- Successfully manage accounts receivable and payable, banking and cash management, and payroll
- Conduct financial research, analyze data, and prepare special projects
- Perform month-end closing activities, assist with the annual budgeting process, and prepare and process payroll
- Identify and resolve financial and operational issues
