HVAC Service Technician Job Description

We’re looking for HVAC Service Technician to provide maintenance and repairs for our HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of HVAC systems and be able to troubleshoot and repair issues as they arise. HVAC Service Technician Duties:

• Diagnose and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment
• Identify potential maintenance issues
• Assist other team members as needed
• Conduct training of new employees
• Perform work safely and follow all company safety rules
• Follow all company policies and procedures

HVAC Service Technician Responsibilities:

• Perform HVAC maintenance on residential and small commercial systems; diagnose mechanical problems, and troubleshoot equipment
• Correct minor problems on existing systems using basic tools.
• Explain diagnosis and repair to homeowners; inspect systems and replace or adjust units as necessary
• Clean, inspect, repair, and replace air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment, using hand tools and power tools
• Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment
• Travel to customer sites, including inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems
• Successfully complete a 5-week HVAC training program

Requirements And Skills:

• Prior experience in HVAC field
• 2+ years of experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining HVAC equipment
• Knowledge of HVAC terminology
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
• Ability to plan and schedule work to meet deadlines
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
