Industrial Painter Job Description

An industrial painter is an employee that applies paint to a building.

An industrial painter may work indoors or out, on tanks, ships, or trains.

They may also work on homes, schools, restaurants, and offices.

An industrial painter typically must have a high school diploma, but some companies may require an associate’s degree.

Industrial painters typically work indoors, which means you’ll need to be comfortable working in small enclosed spaces.

Being comfortable working in a warehouse or industrial area where there is a lot of clutter is also beneficial.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for an Industrial Painter to work with us on a variety of projects. We need someone who is experienced in painting industrial equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and be able to take on multiple projects at one time. If you are a motivated individual with a strong work ethic, then we want to hear from you!

Industrial Painter Duties:

• Perform all painting and mechanical applications including:
• Prep work areas
• Apply paint
• Finishes
• Protects
• Maintains cleanliness of job
• Maintains all related equipment
• Validate all work performed
• Follows all safety procedures

Industrial Painter Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain a clean painting environment, ensuring compliance with all housekeeping procedures
• Communicate with project personnel and subcontractors regarding the painting activities
• Coordinate the painting schedule with subcontractors and project personnel
• Coordinate the painting activities with project personnel
• Use equipment and materials to perform the duties of this job
• Be able to lift heavy items
• Be able to stand/walk for 8-12 hours
• Be able to crawl
• Be able to stoop/bend
• Be able to climb ladders
• Must have Safe craft certification within 6 months of start date
• Must be located 25 miles from Willcox
• Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays

Requirements And Skills:

• Minority or Female preferred
• 1+ years’ experience in industrial painting or maintenance
• Knowledge of coating materials, chemicals, and application methods
• Knowledge of painting equipment, tools, and techniques
• Must be skilled in reading and understanding technical drawings
