Interior Designer Job Description

Job Brief:

We’re looking for an Interior Designer who is creative, has a good eye for detail, and is able to work within a budget. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing both residential and commercial spaces, and be familiar with a variety of design styles. Interior Designer Duties:

• Design, create, and complete interior design projects
• Prepare design documents such as floor plans, elevations, and renderings
• Prepare specifications for furniture, fixtures, and equipment
• Assist with determining project costs
• Provide interior design service to customers

Interior Designer Responsibilities:

• Create, design, coordinate, and implement original concepts and space plans
• Design, develop, and prepare specifications, plans, and estimates, and present ideas to clients, architects, engineers, and other industry professionals
• Conduct market research, make site visits, meet with clients, and select furnishings and equipment
• Develop specifications and floor plans, including space layouts, lighting plans, material selections, and furnishings
• Conduct space planning, layout, finish, and furniture design
• Supervise construction and maintenance of residential, commercial, and hospitality projects
• Manage contracts, budgets, and related logistics
• Coordinate with clients and contractors, conduct site visits, and oversee quality control

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or interior architecture required
• 5+ years experience in the interior design industry
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors
