IT Consultant Job Description

Job Brief:

We’re looking for an IT Consultant to help us improve our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of IT systems and be able to provide us with advice on how to improve our current setup. IT Consultant Duties:

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the organization and its customers
• Manage special projects and tasks, such as web site development and documentation
• Research and suggest new technologies, methodologies, and solutions
• Develop standard solutions to be used by the entire organization
• Design, develop, and implement database management systems, web applications, and network solutions
• Maintain existing computer systems and networks
• Provide user support and training

IT Consultant Responsibilities:

• Arrive on time and ready to start work
• Assist with project implementation, including reviewing builds, developing scripts, and troubleshooting
• Assist with system testing, including conducting and reviewing system testing, and developing test plans
• Assist with system documentation, including writing system procedures, system architecture, and system design
• Identify, research, and resolve system problems within coding languages
• Performs other duties as needed

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience with IT management, industry knowledge and consulting skills
• Expertise in core technologies and methodologies for network design, architecture, engineering, and implementation
• Proven ability to develop
